Beaches in Nafplion and close by

Karathona Beach, shaped like a horsehoe, is one of the most popular beaches in the Argolida both with foreign tourists and Greeks with its sheltered bay and calm water. A well organised beach with both open spaces and sunbeds/umbrellas, showers, bars and cafeterias and caters for all ages and offers a variety of water sports. The sea is crystal celar and clean and the beach is sandy. There are distinct differences at each ond of the beach, one end tends to be frequested by the younger, hip crowd and the other with couples and families. A great choice. It is accessible by car (there is plently of parking) and by a local seasonal bus service. 10 minutes from Agroktima Elia.

Arvanitia Beach, known as the town beach of Nafplion it is a rock beach easily accesible for the town itself and situated under the Palamidi castle. Many locals use the beach for a "quick dip" and it is very popular with the youngsters that do not have transport to get to other beaches. Clean and clear water. 8 minutes from Agroktima Elia

Tolo Beach is a long sandy beach for the resort of Tolo about 15 minutes away from Agroktima Elia. It is well organised and has many sunbeds and umrellas, water sports, pedalos and boats for rent. Another good beach for the kids with shallow water and fine sand.

Plaka Beach at Drepano, is a coarse sand/fine pebble beach that is long and straight. The road above the beach is lined with camp sites and tavernas and the sea is clear and clean. Approx. 15 minutes from Agroktima Elia.

Kondyli Beach inbetween Vivari and Candia, is another sandy beach just along the coast. Favoured by Athenians and Greek visitors in general the beach has a couple fo bars and is busy throught the months of July and August. 20 minutes from Agroktima Elia.

Candia Beach is one of the quieter beaches in the immedaite region along with Iria Beach which is just a little further along the coast. A pebble beach with tavernas, 20 minutes from Agroktima Elia.

Vivari Beach is another quieter beach, small in size and pebble. The tavernas are very popular all year round and particularly in the summer. 20 minutes from Agroktima Elia.
